Steve rogers first starts off as a frail young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum, the Super-Soldier Serum, in order to aid the United States’ world effort. In World War II patriotic solider Steve Rogers recipient of the "Super Soldier Serum" became the living symbol of freedom, Captain America. Left for dead while frozen in ice, the star-spangled hero with an indestructible shield awoke years later to continue his never-ending battle for liberty

Sharon Carter, alias Agent 13, is a fictional character, a secret agent in the Marvek Comics universe. She is an ex-field agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. under Nick Fury and occasionally the girlfriend of Captain America. In original continuity, Sharon was said to be the younger sister of Peggy Carter, the wartime love interest of Captain America, but she was later retconned as Peggy's niece because of the un-aging nature of comic book characters.

The Red Skull is a name shared by several fictional characters, all supervillains from the Marvel Comics universe. All incarnations of the character are enemies of Captain America, other superheroes, and the United States in general.
The first two Red Skulls are Nazi agents and the third is a Soviet agent. The Red Skull was first introduced in Captain America Comics #1 in 1941. The first Red Skull (George Maxon) to appear in comics was an American industrialist turned Nazi saboteur. Maxon turned out to be an agent of the true Red Skull (Johann Schmidt), considered (according to S.H.I.E.L.D.) as one of the greatest threats to humanity, and a long-time archenemy of Captain America.

Sergeant James "Bucky" Barnes (Played by Sebastian Stan):

James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes, was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby as a sidekick character in Captain America Comics #1 (cover-dated March 1941), published by Timely Comics (Marvel's 1940s predecessor). Decades later, the original Bucky was brought back from supposed death as the Winter Soldier in 2005 and then he becomes Captain America in 2008 after Steve Rogers was presumed to be dead, before returning as the Winter Soldier once more.
Howard Stark (Played by Dominic Cooper):

Howard Anthony Walter Stark was a brilliant inventor throughout his life. He and his father Howard Stark Sr. worked on various projects, and later founded Stark Industries. Throughout his young adulthood, Stark worked on various government projects dating back to the World War I and World War II era, like the World War I Captain America project with John Crowe Ransom, which came to completion during World War II; the World War II Manhattan Project; and the "Arsenal" robots, hidden in a subbasement in his mansion. During the 1950s, Howard Stark was an agent of the secret science organization known as The Shield , partnered with Nathaniel Richards.
